What’s on this weekend

The kids are on countdown with five days of school left until the start of the long summer holidays.  Here at Ecocabs we’re busy transporting people in our taxis and minibuses to and from weddings, festivals, cycling events and the airport for far flung adventures.

With so many events on during the summer it’s hard to choose which one to go to, but here’s some which have caught our eye as the best things on this weekend.

For Historical Adventure – head to Belsay Hall for the Legendary Joust event this weekend for a chance to see knights, armour and their magnificent horses compete for honour and glory.

For Animal Lovers – Tyne Green will be hosting the RSPCA Hexham Fun Dog Show with events ranging from My Best Friend for the under 14s and Rescue Dog of the Year there’s something for all the family and their furry friend.

For Watersport fun – Kielder Water Yacht Club are continuing their summer open days as they welcome visitors to find out more about yachting on Kielder every Saturday in July and August from 10am – 6pm

For Music Lovers – the Rothbury Traditional Music Festival with a Ceilidh, Sword dancing, Street Entertainers and award-winning musicians there’s plenty to keep the whole family amused.

For Wildlife and The Great Outdoors – Wild Intrigue are running Bats and Pizza Nights at the tranquil, rural glamping site Wild Northumbrian in Tarset near Bellingham.
