Hadrian’s Wall and Vindolanda

Experience some of the regions history at Hadrian’s Wall and the Vindolanda roman fort. Take a stroll or rent a bike to go alongside the wall in the heart of the Northumbrian countryside or go on a guided tour of Vindolanda to experience a more in depth look into history.

Life Science Centre

There is always plenty to see at the Life Science Centre. Their range of activities and displays include: ice skating (seasonal), 4D motion rides, scientific experiments and currently a Lego Brick History display.

Infinite Air Extreme Trampoline Centre

Durham now holds the UK’s biggest Trampoline and free running park. There are 80 giant interconnected trampolines, dodgeball courts, basketball courts, cafe bars and space for free running.

Now most known for being used as Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy in the Harry Potter films, Alnwick Castle is always worth a visit. With an array of activities, events and beautiful scenery of the castle and Alnwick Garden there’s always something to do or see at Alnwick Castle in Northumberland.

If you prefer a quiet day looking at art the Baltic and Laing Art Galllery often have some great themed exhibitions such as the recent Laing Art Gallery’s Alice in Wonderland exhibition.

There are an abundance of shows across the North East with famous shows frequently going to The Sunderland Empire and the Newcastle’s Theatre Royal. Lesser known productions can often be seen performed at The Custom House in South Shields and The Queen’s Hall Arts Centre in Hexham, Northumberland.
