A short taxi ride away from Hexham the capital of Tynedale are the villages of Acomb ,Wall and Humshaugh many people are finding out have a lot to offer . Acomb offers many tourists on the Roman Wall walk a pleasant rest stop with the Miners Arms, The Sun Inn and Queens Head offering traditional northern hospitality, there is even a fish and chip shop. A recent fantastic new addition to the area is Walwick Hall offering  accommodation in the hotel or old stable block (refurbished  of course) the hotel has a growing reputation for food and a range of spa treatments offered. Again right on the Hadrians Wall path another great venue for that special night.
