Ecocabs supports businesses with a mobile work force with new health app
Ecocabs today announces the launch of its ‘Health Monitr’ app.
The app allows employers to record the results of daily health checks. It was developed in partnership with ‘Wonderstuff’ — the Newcastle-based creative consultancy — to address particular issues during the Covid-19 pandemic, but it is likely to be an essential tool in many customer-facing businesses for the foreseeable future.
The ‘Health Monitr’ app requests symptom and temperature input, on a daily basis, before users are permitted to start work. The intuitive app allows users to register, login and complete daily checks. Data is held on a secure database which can be accessed by registered workplace administrators and managers, to monitor the database, create and view reports, and notify users and supervisors of issues.
Commenting on the development of the app, Matthew Kirkby, founder and Managing Director of Ecocabs, said, “As a company, we want to do all we can to reduce the spread of Covid-19, so monitoring the health of our drivers and staff is critical — both for their wellbeing and for the peace of mind of our passengers. We originally went looking for an ‘off-the-shelf’ solution, but the available apps were either unsuitable, or subscription-based and too expensive, at a time when businesses are having to reduce overheads. We also realised that we could develop the app ourselves, and offer it, free of charge, to other businesses in the same situation.”
