The most well-known attraction within the town is Hexham Abbey, with its massive facade dominating the local skyline. However, there are other worthwhile sights to appreciate during your stay.  A handful of these include the Moot Hall, a museum known as Hexham Old Gaol, the Market Place (a large open-air retail district), and the Tyne Green Golf Course.

There are also a handful of wonderful parks to visit; ideal if you are arriving here with the family or should you hope to enjoy a bit of nature during your stay.  The three most prominent are The Sele, Tyne Green Riverside Park and Wydon Water.  These are perfect spots for open-air walks or the occasional picnic.  All three of these parks are found directly south of the A69 motorway.
